Standard Returns Policy

Return Window

We accept returns of new, unopened products within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange.

Product Condition for Returns

  • New products only – Products must be unopened in original packaging and never used
  • Complete packaging required – All original packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included
  • No customized products – Products that were customized or modified cannot be returned

Return Process

  1. Contact us first – All returns require Return Material Authorization (RMA)
  2. Return shipping – Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless item is defective
  3. Processing time – Refunds take up to 30 working days to process and appear in your account
  4. Inspection – Returned items will be inspected upon receipt
  5. Incomplete returns – Items returned without complete packaging or missing components are only eligible for exchange, not refund

Product Warranty

Standard Warranty Coverage

End Loadshedding warrants that all solar products manufactured and sold by us will be in good working order according to our standard specifications upon delivery.

Warranty Period:

  • 15 months from date of manufacturing, OR
  • 12 months from date of commissioning/first use
  • Covers: Battery box (excluding battery), controller, solar panel, and LED light sources

What We’ll Do If There’s a Problem

If any component fails due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, we will repair or replace it at our discretion using new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts.

Our Response Time:

  • We’ll begin corrective action within 14 business days of receiving written notification
  • If we can’t fix or replace defective hardware within 90 days, we’ll provide a pro-rata refund
  • You’ll need to cooperate with us during the repair process

Warranty Costs

If a claimed defect isn’t covered under warranty:

  • You’ll pay for defect research and identification per our standard rates
  • If no defect is found, troubleshooting costs are R2,500 per incident/light
  • Shipping costs for warranty items may be covered by us (as specified)
  • Important: If you don’t return the defective unit within 30 days, you’ll be charged for the replacement unit in full

Extended Warranty Options

Purchase extended warranties (2, 4, 6, or 12 years) within the standard warranty period for additional protection.


What’s NOT Covered by Warranty

Installation and Use Issues

  • Not following our installation, operation, or maintenance instructions
  • Repairs or modifications by unauthorized parties
  • Attaching non-End Loadshedding products to our equipment
  • Improper installation, inadequate ventilation, or non-compliant use

External Damage

  • Power surges, lightning, storms, floods, fire, or other natural disasters
  • Transportation damage
  • Abuse, misuse, negligence, or accidents
  • Third-party actions or vandalism

Normal Operations

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage that doesn’t affect function
  • Consumable components (fuses, batteries)
  • Temporary power loss or production interruption

Service-Related Exclusions

  • Labor, installation, removal, or transportation costs
  • Special tools or unusual installation conditions
  • Damage to non-End Loadshedding equipment
  • Costs from inadequate site access

Important Distinctions

Standard Returns (30 days)

  • For change of mind, wrong item ordered, etc.
  • Product must be new and unopened
  • Customer pays return shipping
  • Full refund upon successful inspection

Warranty Claims (12-15 months)

  • For defective or malfunctioning products
  • Product can be used/installed
  • We may cover return shipping
  • Repair, replacement, or pro-rata refund

Warranty Transfer

Your warranty rights can be transferred to any end user without our consent for the remaining warranty period.


Important Notes

  • Any warranty extensions must be agreed to in writing and involve additional costs
  • This policy gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights under consumer protection laws
  • For returns or warranty claims, contact End Loadshedding customer service with your proof of purchase

This policy is effective as of 02/08/25 and supersedes all previous warranty terms.
